When you hire me or the DE Team to plan or produce your event, you are getting more than a wedding and event planner. You are getting someone who will tell you the truth, plan with intention, and stay calm when everyone else isn't.
I've been planning and producing weddings and events for more than 26 years, and I founded Dejanae Events in 2000 with a simple belief: great events should be thoughtfully planned and enjoyable to experience, not stressful to create.
My approach is personal, practical, and intentional. Whether the DE Team or I are planning a wedding, social celebration, corporate gathering, or special event, we will help you make decisions based on what matters most, keep an honest eye on your budget, and tell you when something is worth the investment, when there's a better option, or when you can simply skip it.
For my wedding couples, that means creating a celebration that feels like you without spending money just for the sake of spending it. For my event clients, it means taking your vision and turning it into an organized, well-executed experience that your guests will remember.
And when event day arrives, I'm the calm in the room. I'm watching the details, solving the problems, managing the moving pieces, and handling the things you shouldn't have to think about so you can be present and enjoy your event.
I'm a Professional Wedding Planner with the Association of Bridal Consultants, a former Illinois State Manager for ABC, educator, speaker, mentor, and founder of Dejanae Events. But beyond the credentials, I'm your advocate throughout the planning and production process.
My job is simple: tell you the truth, help you plan intentionally, and make sure you get to actually enjoy your event.
